A joint effort by two colleges in Northern Ontario has seen a first. Confederation College students in Thunder Bay have graduated in mining through Northern College’s Haileybury School of Mines without leaving their community. Northern and Confederation worked out a deal where the mining program is offered using hi-tech systems like video conferencing.
