The crash happened at the corner of Pine St. and Algonquin Blvd. when an SUV struck a 44-year-old man crossing the intersection. The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the driver stayed on scene to talk with police. Timmins Police Service Communications Coordinator Mar Depatie says the 30-year-old woman driver has been charged with failing to stop at an amber light and the pedestrian has been charged with disobeying the “Do Not Walk” signal.
