The Driver and Pedestrian Both Face Charges After Algonquin Collision

Both the driver and pedestrian face charges after Saturdays collision in Timmins. The crash happened at the corner of Pine St. and Algonquin Blvd. when an SUV struck a 44-year-old man crossing the intersection. The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the driver stayed on scene to talk with police.

Timmins Police Service Communications Coordinator Mar Depatie says the 30-year-old woman driver has been charged with failing to stop at an amber light and the pedestrian has been charged with disobeying the “Do Not Walk” signal.
