Timmins Man Raising Money for Sexual Abuse Awareness Billboards

Ray Auclair is hopeful that his upcoming hockey game will raise enough money to erect two new male sexual abuse awareness billboards. Auclair is striving to break the silence and end the stigma around male sexual abuse by putting up billboards with an information and crisis line phone number.
He says he is raising the money through game ticket sales and a silent auction. Auclair says right now he has raised $2,200 but needs $3,000 per billboard. He hopes a 50/50 draw and chuck a puck at the game will bring in the rest of the money.
Auclair says tickets are still available for this Saturdays game taking place at the Tim Horton Event Centre in Cochrane. Tickets can be purchased at Lawson’s Laundromat or Heavener’s Variety Dollar and Novelty in Cochrane.
