In just a few weeks Northern College’s Bob Mack will retire after a 35-year career at the school. Guiding the community, business development and employment services division of the college will be Christine Heavens. Heavens is now the executive director of that department after managing the college’s trades and technology division the last three years. Before that Heavens spent 11 years with the Township of Black River-Matheson running the municipality’s works and operations sector.
