Amberley will take on the two-year contract worth a $5,000 retainer and $300 per hour for investigations. Councillor Rick Dubeau asked why this was the only company considered. City Clerk Steph Palmateer says council has a great relationship with Amberley. Palmateer states their experience and knowledge in the field is above reproach and says it just made sense to go with them. Palmateer adds there have been many questions about Code of Conduct that he can’t answer, so the sooner a Commissioner is in place, the better.
