OPP across Ontario have added up their R.I.D.E. campaign numbers from the holiday period. Numbers show that six people died over the seven week campaign. Police say five of the people died in highway related collisions and the sixth was killed in an off-road crash. Officers say in total, more than 73-hundred vehicles were stopped and 610 people were charged with impaired driving. Among these cases, officers reported that 270 of the collisions they investigated resulted in innocent people getting hurt as a result of an impaired driver.
