News Police Remind Drivers to Travel to the Winter Conditions SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Friday, Jan. 13th, 2017 The Timmins Police Service is reminding everyone to drive to the conditions after police responded to six collisions on Wednesday alone. Communications Coordinator Marc Depatie says this is due to drivers going too fast and not paying attention. He says among six incidents, a single vehicle collision happened at the intersection of Highway 101 and Father Costello Drive in Schumacher. The driver of the vehicle ended up in the north ditch of Highway 101 as he was forced to take action to avoid a crash with another vehicle. The vehicle was removed by tow truck and was deemed road-worthy. Depatie says police are urging drivers to be patient and give yourselves extra time to reach your destination.
