The City of Timmins Waste Management Development and the Canadian Diabetes Association are partnering up. Residents will now be able to drop off lightly used clothing and linens to the Diabetes Association at drop off boxes located at city landfills. Waste Management Supervisor Dwight Chorney says new Clothesline boxes can be found at the Deloro Landfill Site and the Tisdale Transfer Site. He adds this is a great way to make room in the landfills and help those less fortunate. Chorney says if these new sites are successful, more drop off locations could be added in the near future.
