A pilot project aimed at keeping graduates of Northern Ontario colleges living and working in the region will be endingĀ at the end of this school year. The StayNorth program is run by six colleges including the Timmins campus of Northern College and funded by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.Ā The program’s Employment Liaison Officer Alex Rogerson says over the past two years, the program helped 65 students get hired straight out of school by Northern Ontario employers.Ā Rogerson says no decision has been made on theĀ StayNorth’sĀ future and hopes this could become a permanent program
