News Police Receive High Call Volumes on New Years Eve SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, 2017 The Timmins Police Service had a high volume of calls on New Years Eve. Interim Communications Coordinator Marc Depatie says police responded to multiple family disputes, a few cases of unwanted people and noise complaints and a few vehicle collisions. Depatie says a 48 year-old man was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence after a snowmobile collision resulted in minor injuries. Depatie says even though the call volume was high, it was relatively normal compared to previous years.
