The Timmins Police Service is issuing an advisory to drivers after a series of crashes on Highway 101 at Rae Hill. TPS says recent collisions are linked to pick up trucks loosing momentum while going up the hill then accelerating too hard, as well as vehicles not being equipped with winter tires. Police say drivers need to remember that all-season tires don’t work well in snowy conditions, not to use overdrive while going up a hill and four wheel drive always has its limits.
