A group in Timmins will join a world-wide protest this weekend against Monsanto – the biotech chemical and agriculture company.  The Timmins Ecological Beekeeping Association wants Monsanto to stop using genetically modified organisms it feeds animals destined for human consumption.  Protest groups claim the modified organisms are harmful and cause organ damage, sterility and birth defects.  Saturday’s protest runs from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Hollinger Parc.
