Uncategorized Flood warning continues SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Wednesday, May. 21st, 2014 The flood warning for Timmins continues. It’s because there’s rain in the forecast and that could increase the water level in the Mattagami River. As a precaution residents in low-lying areas should take steps to protect themselves. If you need them, sand bags and shovels are available at the Confederation Multi Sports Facility and at the Mountjoy Arena. Boaters are asked to reduce their speeds so they don’t create large wakes that hurt homeowners along the Mattagami. Meanwhile sections of Norman Street are closed.
