Uncategorized Hospital foundation receives $1,000 cheque SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Wednesday, May. 21st, 2014 The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation is now $1,000 richer thanks to a donation from Carmel Arsenault. Arsenault raised the money by selling beads she made from recycling old greeting cards. What got her to help was the story of Victoria Plut who was born at the local hospital and then was saved by medical staff using old equipment. The incident prompted Victoria’s mother to ask area residents to give to the hospital’s current fundraising drive for new equipment.
