Trapper finds wolf ban puzzling

The wolf ban in four provincial parks has some trappers questioning the wisdom of the move.  The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is banning wolf and coyote hunting to protect the Algonquin Wolf which is a threatened species.  The ban includes Killarney Provincial Park south of Sudbury.  One trapper believes the ban will result in more wolves going after elk which the ministry has been trying to re-establish in Killarney.  The province says there are about 500 Algonquin Wolves across Ontario.
