News Float from Northern College wins award SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Thursday, Nov. 17th, 2016 The Northern College float in last weekend’s Santa Claus parade has won “Best in Theme”. The float featured a string of trees which are now being re-purposed for the Trees for Bursaries Silent Auction. The seven trees are currently on display in the Atrium of Northern College’s Timmins campus. Anyone can make silent bids for the trees on November 21st from 9:00am to 8:00pm. The money from the auction, as well as the money the float won in the parade, go to the college’s student bursary program.
