Ministry of Labour investigating recent mining deaths in Sudbury

The Ministry of Labour is trying to determine how two mining contractors were killed Tuesday in Sudbury. The men died in a collapse of ground shortly after a seismic event. The accident took place at the Lockerby mine which is owned by First Nickel. The victims, who were 34 and 49-years-old, were employees of Taurus Drilling. There have now been six mining deaths in Sudbury in less than three years.
