Phase one of the Connecting Link project set to end this week

Drivers in South Porcupine will soon be getting an end to the construction. Phase one of the Connecting Link Project is slated to end on Friday. As for this week, the Bruce Avenue intersection is still closed off, and paving work will be closing off westbound lanes on 101. One lane will still be open in each direction in the eastbound lanes.

Phase one is costing $4.8 million, $3 million of which is being paid for by the province. The city is now getting ready to send a funding application onto the province to help pay for phase two next summer.
