Federal health care spending cut in half, bad news for Northerners says Angus

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is not happy the Trudeau government plans to implement Stephen Harper’s health care cuts. He says people regularly slip through the cracks in the north, and the area will be further squeezed by the cuts.

Federal health care spending is expected to go from six per cent to three, cutting $1.1 billion from the budget next year. Angus says Northerners will be feeling the impacts of these cuts. He also notes it’s important for the public to speak up about the issue.
