Elm Street North is closed off right now with police presence in the area. The Timmins Police told Moose FM that a serious assault took place this morning, during the early morning hours. One person is in custody. Another person is being treated for injuries at the Timmins Hospital. The extent of the victim’s injuries is not known.
The scene is now under TPS control to allow for forensic officers to complete their scan of the scene. No other details are being made available yet.
Anyone with information on the assault is being asked to call the Timmins Police or Crime Stoppers.
