About half of the students in grade three are at the provincial standard for reading, writing, and math, in the DSB-Ontario North East. That’s according to the EQAO results from last year, which were released this week. Grade six students saw a slight increase for reading and writing. There was a dip in math, as only 27 per cent of students are sitting at the provincial standard.
For the Northeastern Catholic School Board, reading and writing increased for students in grades three and six.
