The NDP’s northern development critic Mike Mantha believes the commitment will be another broken Liberal promise. Mantha says the Liberals have dropped the ball continuously on the Ring of Fire year after year. Meanwhile Norm Miller, the Tories’ northern development critic, finds the transportation promise odd. He says the Liberals want to spend a billion dollars but still have no concrete plan on how to develop the Ring of Fire.
