News FONOM supports Spring Bear Hunt SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Tuesday, Apr. 29th, 2014 The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities fully supports the province’s spring bear hunt. Although animal rights groups are challenging the two year pilot project, FONOM believes the hunt will go ahead. The lobby group says calling the hunt a nuisance bear problem, as some groups do, is wrong. It says a bear wandering into residential areas is a serious problem and not just a nuisance.
