Supplied by Taylor Ablett - Moose FM An annual event bringing awareness about domestic and sexual violence against women is back in Timmins next month. Take Back the Night is a rally and march through town to express women’s rights to safety. Domestic Violence Coordinator for Cochrane North, Chantal Ouellette, says the event happens internationally, and is meant to bring issues into the light. Ouellete says they traditionally don’t take donations, but instead it’s about community awareness to help end violence towards women. The event is on September 20th this year, at the Timmins and Area Women in Crisis Centre. It kicks off at 6:30pm. (With files from: Rudy Kadlec)
