Local woman facing numerous charges after getting caught for the same crime twice

A Timmins woman is in hot water after getting caught rummaging through vehicles on two separate occasions. The 23-year-old was first caught at the end of July when she was going through parked cars on First Avenue, taking off with around $200 worth of personal items. She was arrested, and then released from custody, only to be caught going through cars again at the beginning of August. She was arrested again, this time for stealing items and for drug possession.

She was hit with seven charges in total. The Timmins Police Service calls the crime one of opportunity, and is reminding drivers to ensure their car doors are locked and valuable items are taken out.
