Timmins is getting ready to broadcast the final Tragically Hip concert later this month. This comes after tickets to the show, which is in Kingston, went quickly and fans demanded better access to the concert. The CBC will be broadcasting the show live, and the city will be showing that feed at the Participark on August 20th. Local bands will also take to the stage that night, before and after the Hip play.
Free tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis, but donations are encouraged with all the money going to local families who are dealing with cancer treatments. Locations to get tickets are being finalised, and Tourism Timmins will be releasing the information as it becomes available.
