Local first responders in Timmins are getting high compliments from city hall. City Councillor Andrew Marks spoke about the fire fighters, police, and EMS teams that work for the city, saying they perform impressively even in the worst of conditions.

This comes on the heels of a death in Marks’ family. He says when this is perhaps the worst time in a family’s history, dealing with the sudden passing of a loved one, the first responders performed admirably. He says he was nothing but impressed with their professionalism, caring attitude, and offering of services. He says seeing it first hand hit home with what they do daily.

Marks says he wanted to address the issue publicly, to draw attention to the men and women who work as a first responder in the city.
