Bisson urging the public to fight against a plan that will see cable and internet prices spike

Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson is raising red flags about a plan that will see cable and internet prices spike. He says right now the Ontario Energy Board has an application in front of it to see the rental prices of hydro poles increase, from Hydro One to cable and internet providers.

Bisson says if approved, it will mean a spike in cable and internet bills across Ontario. The rental prices would go from $22 a year, to $70 a year. He says that means the companies will pass the cost onto customers.

Bisson is now urging the public to contact the Ontario Energy Board, and let it know you don’t want to see Hydro One increase the rental price on the hydro poles. More information, including how to contact the OEB is online on Bisson’s Facebook page. Click here for all of the details.
