Environment Canada is putting Timmins, Cochrane, and Iroquois Falls under a severe thunderstorm watch. The conditions are right for a storm to roll through, that could bring heavy winds and possible hail. The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends taking cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when storms that could produce large hail, damaging winds, or torrential rainfall are predicted.
The heat warning is still in effect for the area as well.
