The fire hazard for the Timmins area is currently sitting at high, with seven active fires in the region. However, no fire bans are in place. There are currently three active fires in Cochrane, with others in Wawa, Hearst, Sudbury, and Parry Sound. Campers are reminded to be careful with their campfires, and to always practice fire safety while out in the woods.
