LHIN working to improve services in long term care homes

The North East LHIN invited representatives from its 41 long-term care homes in the region for a face-to-face meeting to improve care and services. The reps discussed the benefits of incorporation new technology and treatment into its services, more up-to-date electronic records and a new program called Behavioural Supports Ontario.

The BSO is set up in 17 of the 41 care homes in the LHIN’s catchment area. It’s designed to help in the care of the elderly with dementia and other similar conditions.
