Human Rights Watch finds 90 First Nation communities have unsafe drinking water in Ontario

Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas has again raised the question of safe drinking water for First Nations in Ontario. Gelinas says virtually nothing has happened to improve water on remote reserves since she was first elected as a New Democrat, nine years ago. Gelinas was reacting to a recent report released by the Human Rights Watch, that found unsafe drinking water in provincial First Nation communities.

In response, Aboriginal Affairs Minister David Zimmer says the province is working with the feds to fix this issue.
