He originally pleaded not guilty to the allegations of misconduct that happened in 2011, including; on duty meetings with a female, false notebook entries, not wearing his uniform among others. Constable Lalonde is being demoted to third class constable for 6 months, second class for another year making a penalty of about 35,000 dollars.
