Numbers are being released for driving related charges over the long weekend. Timmins Police laid three impaired driving charges, and 50 aggressive driving charges for things like speeding, and using a hand held device. On top of that, there were 13 seatbelt offenses, and eight insurance violations.
Police are calling those numbers distressing, saying safe roads involve a partnership between drivers and the police. TPS is asking drivers to be attentive and responsible. The enforcement blitz ran from the 17th to the 23rd.Â
