Cochrane man facing murder charges in connection to a missing senior

A 41-year-old Cochrane man has been arrested and is facing second degree murder charges in connection to the disappearance of Aline Lalonde. The 70-year-old, who also goes by the name Aline New, went missing last week, in what police were calling an unusual disappearance. Police say they are still continuing to search for the victim, and they have called in a number of speciality units to help like the Canine Unit and Underwater Search and Recovery Team.

Police are still asking anyone with information to come forward by either calling the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
