A Timmins couple is facing charges in connection to the death of a newborn baby. The 30-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman are looking at manslaughter, and criminal negligence causing death. The charges stem from an incident in November 2015, when police were called by the hospital about the deceased baby. They were originally being charged with failing to provide the necessities of life, however that charge has now been withdrawn.
The names of the accused are not being released as there is a publication ban on the case. During the investigation, two other kids were removed and relocated to a safe place. The two have a court date later this month.
