Universal donors with type O blood are in high demand for Canadian Blood Services. In this year alone 100,000 new donors will be needed and over 10,000 of those will need to be O negative. The next blood drive in the area will be in Timmins on May 31st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on June 1st from noon to 7:30pm at St. Dominique’s Hall.
CBS is putting out a call to anyone who has ever thought about donating, transfusions are primarily used to replace lost blood in crash victims or those suffering serious injury. You can head to blood.ca to schedule an appointment today.
