Bisson continuing to fight for gas price fairness at Queen’s Park, says gas companies are in collusion

The MPP for Timmins-James Bay isn’t letting the government do nothing about inflated gas prices in Timmins. Gilles Bisson is once again raising the issue at Queen’s Park, asking how companies are getting away with selling gas at a 26-cent differential across the province. He says that difference makes no sense, and is asking how gas companies are getting away with it.

Bisson says it’s clear they are colluding; doing everything they can to put money in their own pockets at the cost of the consumer. He says the province has the ability to regulate the prices, and they need to start acting.

The MPP is giving kudos to Timmins’ city council for trying to get some answers about the unfair prices for all of northern Ontario and to get the provincial government to move forward on regulations. He says that way they can limit what the companies are doing, and take away the huge differentials from one end of the province to the other.
