Kashechewan getting ready to evacuate as the Albany River is expected to flood

More Kashechewan residents will be evacuating the First Nation next month. This is a precautionary evacuation, as the Albany River floods the community almost every spring. This has a lot to do with the  structural integrity and strength of the communities levee.

Evacuees will be arriving in Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, and Kirkland Lake on April 21st.
