A commitment to fix infrastructure as part of the new federal budget is good news, according to FONOM. The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities says this will be good for the north, as many of our roads are starting to crumble. President of FONOM, Al Spacek, says they have been calling on all levels of government to address the infrastructure deficit across the country.

FONOM also points out there is good news when it comes to supporting First Nations communities, addressing rail safety, and fighting climate change.
