Downtown stop lights turn to stop signs

For almost two months the lights in the BIA district will be flashing red.

BIA executive director Noella Rinaldo says there are two concerns with the project. The first is that pedestrians are safe when crossing and second, that drivers don’t find it too awkward with the potential high foot-traffic in non-winter months.

The pilot project will test the efficiency of traffic to potentially have stop signs on a permanent basis.
