First Nation communities and northern cities are finding better ways to work together

The Northeast’s inaugural Aboriginal Economic Development Forum is launching tomorrow. Aboriginal Liaison Coordinator, Terrence Sutherland says it’s the first step in trying to make changes to the way local businesses, residents and communities interact.

Northern cities like Smooth Rock Falls, Kapuskasing and Cochrane are all be joining the forum. Alongside those towns will be First Nations communities and organizations such as the Moose Cree, Constance Lake First Nation and the Mushkegowuk Development Corporation. Kapuskasing is hosting the forum.
