Evening of Applause set for the end of March

The Timmins Multicultural Centre is hosting their second annual evening of applause at the end of the month. The event is to celebrate the community’s role models in the field of human rights and anti-racism. There will be awards for students who make a difference, the inductions into the Human Rights Wall of Fame, and entertainment from local groups. The Evening of Applause is in conjunction with the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is on March 21st.

It’s happening at Theriault on the 30th, beginning at 6:30pm. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
