News Mantha calling out the Liberals for their budget, saying it ignores the concerns of Ontarians SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Monday, Feb. 29th, 2016 There are some harsh words for the Wynne Liberals coming out of Algoma Manitoulin after the recently tabled budget. MPP Mike Mantha says the province is proving their arrogance by ignoring pre-budget consultations. He says many Ontarians told an all-party committee what they wanted to see in the budget, and outlined their concerns. But now Mantha is calling those sessions useless. He says the government had their budget printed even before the committee gathered these ideas. Before they could form the report, and submit it for consultation and consideration for the budget. Mantha says there were some good things to come out of the budget, like providing university tuition to low-income families, and increases to Ontario Works. But, he says those are very small compared to the overall picture.
