Every summer, the Earth's orbital path comes into contact with the debris trail of comet Swift-Tuttle. This creates the most abundant meteor shower event of the year, known as the Perseids Meteor Shower. Viewable in the direction of the constellation Persus, at its peak in mid-August, you may be able to see 50-100 meteors an hour. Navy League Cadet Corps Timmins is recruiting youth ages 9-12 for the 2019-2020 training year. Boating, sports, and music are just some of the fun activities Cadets can enjoy in an environment that emphasizes citizenship, teamwork, and friendships.  We parade Friday nights from 6 to 9 PM in the gym of École Publique Renaissance at 301 Shirley Street.
