College Boreal should be the model for a potential new Francophone University, according to Gelinas

The MPP for Nickel Belt believes the Wynne Liberals face growing pressure to create a Francophone university.  France Gelinas says Ontario already has numerous French elementary and high schools and two Francophone colleges. She says it’s now time to create a board of governors that would determine the make-up of such a school.

Gelinas believes a Francophone university can be modelled after College Boreal. Boreal has a campus in Timmins, in addition to Sudbury which houses the main campus and administration. This comes as students held a rally at Queens Park last week in favour of a Francophone university.
