Random snow clearing pattern on Hwy 101 comes up at Queen’s Park

Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas is raising some pretty big concerns about northern highway safety at Queen’s Park. She is asking the Minister of Transportation to look into why Highway 101 changes classification randomly. In some areas it is a level two road, while in others it’s level three. That essentially means you’ll get clear pavement, then snow, then clear pavement again.

Gelinas says the erratic pattern makes the drive really dangerous. She also brings up concerns about Highway 144, saying it’s not much better. The Minister of Transportation has said he will look into the issue.
