Angus is lobbying the Competition Bureau as gas prices climb to just under $1

Gas prices in Timmins are back to just under a dollar, raising more questions than answers. Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is once again lobbying the Competition Bureau, trying to get some information. This isn’t the first time Angus has tried this route, saying he is frustrated by their unwillingness to look into the question of price gouging in the north.

He says there is an outrageous discrepancy between Timmins and other cities, which can’t be explained away by the cost of delivery. By comparison, St. Catharines is sitting at 79 cents a litre today.
