No decisions are being made when it comes to reopening Algonquin in front of Western Auto Sales. The city has been looking into the issue, however are now saying warmer weather is needed. Public Utilities Manager Steven Kukulka says that the higher temps are needed to use a vac truck to see the entire length of the line, and do a full evaluation.
The lane has been closed since early January due to settlement above the sanitary pipe. Right now, only half of the pipe can be seen, which is why they are waiting. As of right now, the work is expected to continue this weekend.
