Robbery suspect found in Kapuskasing, now faces 15 criminal charges

A Haggart Township man is facing 15 criminal charges after assaulting multiple people. It happened on Monday at a home on Highway 11. The OPP was called when the 40-year-old man allegedly damaged the vehicle of a utilities worker who was doing work on his property. He then went to his neighbours house, asked for a ride, and damaged their property when they refused. His spree continued as he rode his bike to another house, stole their car, and headed toward Kapuskasing. Police found him in the stolen truck, tried to pull him over, but he fled from police. Officers eventually tracked him down at a business in Kapuskasing. Among the charges are three counts of assault, criminal harassment, and breaking probation. He is being held in custody until a bail hearing later today in Cochrane.
